By Ann Driscoll of Wulsin for Congress
Is the sophomoric, immature manner by which Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-OH) addresses anti-Americanism in the Muslim world funny or, well, tragic?
In her latest constituent newsletter, entitled, "Why Do They Hate Us?" Jean Schmidt offers such pearls of wisdom as ""The United States is not just another country to them, we are utopia." and...
"It is easy to understand that when you know your liberator and he does not come, it must mean he doesn't care. Hearts begin to fill with hate. Evil takes root."
Meanwhile, Swing State Project and Down With Tyranny have taken a particular interest to this quote:
"The Iraqi's perception is that we are all powerful. We watch them from space with technology they cannot even imagine. Surely if we wanted to turn on his electricity we could do so. He has no idea how large the problem is but he knows we can do anything. He was angry. Eventually his air conditioning began running and his anger cooled."
I will post the entirety of the newsletter for your reading displeasure. (It's even worse in its totality than it is excerpted).
